OldRock - Goliath
About the project
OldRock and Goliath are two NFT collections with a backstory are based on a comic book series by the same creator. The setting is about exploring ancient rocks with special densities and abilities and for the people (Goliaths) to use them to their advantage by matching their powers with the rocks abilities
My role and approach
My task was to create a platform where users could match and connect the OldRocks and Goliaths from their wallet to increase their return by up to 50%. My approach was to make it very easy to keep an overview and make informed decision on how, where and how to connect the NFTs.
Connections
The core purpose of this platform is to enable users to connect OldRock and Goliath NFTs from their wallet in a flexible staking environment to increase their returns.
Each OldRock has a limited amount of connection slots that can be filled with Goliaths from the users wallet.
By showing the gallery of available OldRocks first, users have a great overview of their current status.
As the biggest return increase will be achieved by matching the colour and density of the OldRock, I created a Goliath section where users can filter through their wallet and quickly find the right Goliaths to match and amplify their OldRock.
Applied Design
What I have learned
This project was my first time designing a user interface in a modern cyberpunk style.
I have learned to take inspiration from comic books and video games and translate them into a usable platform.
It was also interesting to learn more bout the web3 component of the project and how we can connect NFT wallets with our product to use the actual - and sometimes animated - NFTs in our interface.
